On the way to Mennonite Church Canada
RADAR is actively in the affiliation process with Mennonite Church Canada, with the goal of becoming the first French-speaking region alongside the five existing ones: MC Eastern Canada, MC Manitoba, MC Saskatchewan, MC Alberta, and MC British Columbia.
Letter of Intent sent
RADAR sends its official letter of intent for affiliation to Doug Klassen, Executive Minister of Mennonite Church Canada.
Discernment Visit
Doug Klassen visits Montreal to discern together our journey and the path toward recognition as an emerging regional church.
Observer status
Preliminary recognition under discussion. Ongoing dialogue with MC Canada on governance, confession of faith, and shared mission.
Emerging Regional Church
To be officially recognized as an emerging regional church of Mennonite Church Canada — a first milestone toward full affiliation.
Mennonite Church Eastern Canada by our side
The churches that were members of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada (MCEC) before the creation of RADAR remain members of MCEC and benefit from its fraternal support throughout the affiliation journey. We gratefully acknowledge the pastoral accompaniment and generosity of our MCEC brothers and sisters during this transition.
A recognized ministry of Hochma
While awaiting its own incorporation and charitable status, RADAR operates under the incorporation and charitable number of Hochma (division RR-0002), and respects the legal obligations that flow from this. Hochma Church in Montreal is recognized as an internal daughter church of RADAR.
